A handicap is a numerical representation of how well a golfer typically plays. It's calculated based on a golfer's scores and the difficulty of the courses played, and it's designed to be a consistent measure of a player's skill level.
A daily handicap tells us the number of strokes a player receives for a specific round of golf. We use our handicap to calculate our daily handicap and adjust it based on the course and slope ratings of the particular course and tees being played.
You must calculate your daily handicap before each round, whether submitting conforming social round scorecards or playing in a competition.
To calculate your daily handicap in the Future Golf app, tap the red + sign at the bottom of the homepage, then tap Calculate Daily Handicap. There, you will enter which course you are playing at and which tees you will be playing off of. Then you will be provided with your daily handicap, which will allow you to calculate your stableford points at the end of your round.
If you don't have a handicap just yet, your daily handicap will be 54. You can find more information on getting your handicap in this support article.
