The 2026 Future Golf Tour builds upon its recent updates, continuing to provide all players with a fair and competitive opportunity to win the major prize. Members can qualify for the Tour playoff by finishing in the Top 24 of the Tour leaderboard.

2026 Overall Tour (1 January - 31 December 2026)
- The Top 24 qualify to compete in the playoff (mid-January 2027) to crown the champion.
Future Golf Tour Playoffs
The 2026 Future Golf Tour Champion will be crowned at a playoff event, held at the start of 2027.

How to qualify for the Future Golf Playoffs?
Similar to past years, your best 6 Tour point scores in 2026 will count towards the yearly leaderboard. The Top 24 members with the highest points will qualify for The Playoff.
Playoff Rules and Adjustments:
Some additional rules and advantages will reward higher-placed players and protect the integrity of the playoff:
- Softcap: Future Golf reserves the right to apply a softcap or adjust a player’s playing handicap where there has been a significant variance in performance, handicap movement, or scoring history over the preceding 12 months. This adjustment may be applied at any time and is final.
- Stableford Points Advantages:
Stableford point advantages are designed to reward higher-ranked players while maintaining competitive balance
- 1st place: 6 points
- 2nd-6th place: 3 points
- 7th-12th place: 2 points
- 13th-18th place: 1 point
- 19th-24th place: 0 points
- Winner Determination: Best Stableford score from The Playoff will be crowned Future Golf (state) Champion.
- Playoff hole(s) -Where a playoff hole or holes are required and course availability permits, this will be communicated to qualifying players prior to the event. Where a playoff cannot be conducted, results will be determined by countback in accordance with Golf Australia rules.
- If not possible - Event Countback: (Golf Australia countback - Last 9, 6, 3, 1 holes)
Weather & Course Closure – Playoff
In the event of inclement weather, unsafe playing conditions, or course closure, Future Golf reserves the right to determine results, suspend play, modify the format, or cancel the Playoff where completion is not possible. Where a Playoff is cancelled or suspended, Future Golf will use reasonable endeavours to reschedule the Playoff to the following Sunday at the same course; however, rescheduling is subject to course availability and operational considerations and cannot be guaranteed..
Future Golf Tour Rules
- All official individual events will have Tour points attached.
- No Tour points will be allocated for team (Ambrose) events or formats not synced to GA Connect.
- Golfers at each event will receive Future Golf Tour points. Countback will decide places if on equal points
- Points will be allocated on a descending scale from 30 points for 1st place, 28 for Second place decreasing by one (1) point per position, to a minimum of one (1) point.
- Players' best 6 results (Tour) count towards the leaderboards.
- Maximum points possible in a Tour: 180 (6 wins).
- All paid Future Golf members automatically receive entry into the Tour.
- Future Golf Team members working on events are eligible for points and prizes only when they’ve contributed to their event entry.
- Event Countback: (Golf Australia countback rules apply):
- Best total score for the last 9 holes (10-18 on the card), then
- Best total score for the last 6 holes (13-18 on the card), then
- Best total score for the last 3 holes (16-18 on the card), then
- Best total score for the last hole (18 on the card), then
- Hole-by-hole going backward from the 18th.
- Eligibility: Only players with current and valid official handicaps at the time of an event are eligible to receive Future Golf Tour points.
Tour Countback:
- Most Wins.
- Most Runners-Up.
- Total points from the next best Tour rounds (7th, 8th, etc.) until resolved
Regular Events
- Every event will have prizes thanks to Drummond Golf,TaylorMade & CBCo
- Grade winner $75 & runner up $50
- Under 30 players = No grades - Drummond Golf Voucher 1st & 2nd ($125)
- Over 30 players = 2 Grades with - Drummond Golf Voucher 1st & 2nd in each grade ($250)
- Over 60 players = 3 Grades with 1st & 2nd in each grade ($375)
- Novelty prizes provided by TaylorMade Golf- Sleeve of Balls
- Novelty prizes provided by CBCo - 6 pack of Beer or $20 Voucher
- Pro Pin winner takes all ($5 entry).
Alcohol prizes will only be awarded to participants aged 18 years or over and may be substituted where required by law.
Grades:
- 3 Grades:
- A Grade: Up to 11-14.
- B Grade: 11.1-23.
- C Grade: 20 & above.
- 2 Grades:
- A Grade: Up to 11-15.
- B Grade: 11 and above.
