The 2024 Future Golf Tour receives its first major update in years, giving all players a greater chance of winning the major prize. With members qualifying for the Tour playoff by finishing in the top 24 Tour leaderboard.

Future Golf Playoffs
The 2024 Future Golf Tour Champion will be crowned at a playoff event, held towards the end of the year.

How to qualify for the Future Golf Playoffs?
Similar to years in the past, your best 6 Tour point scores between December 2023 - November 2024 will be counted towards the yearly leaderboard. The top 24 members with the highest points will qualify for the Playoff
Playoff Rules and Alternations:
Some additional rules and advantages will be in place for the playoff to reward higher-place winners and to protect the integrity of the playoff.
- All handicaps will be 25% less than GA handicap at the time of Playoff
- Future Golf holds the right to softcap a player if they believe there has been a large variance in the past 12 months
- To reward the Tour leaders after the above adjustments players will get below advantage:
- 1st place - 5 strokes
- 2nd - 6th place - 3 strokes
- 7th - 12th place - 2 strokes
- 12th - 18th place - 1 stroke
- 18th - 24th place - 0
- The best Stableford score from the playoff will be crowned Future Golf (state) Champion.

Future Golf Season Series:
Over the year there will be 4 separate quarterly competitions called:
- Summer (Dec - Feb)
- Autumn (March - May)
- Winter (June - August)
- Spring (Sept - Nov)
Each quarter will include your best 3 scores over that period. The winner will have the highest points.
Series Winners:

Tour & Series Rules:

- All official individual events will have tour points attached.
- No tour points will be allocated for team (Ambrose) events or formats not synced to GOLF Link.
- Golfers at each event will receive Future Golf Tour points. There will be a countback to decide places if on equal points (30 points for 1st place, 28 points for 2nd place, 27, 26, 25 & so on, all the way down to 1 point).
- Every golfer that plays gets 1 point.
- Players best 6 results (Tour) & 3 results (Series) (points) count towards the leaderboards.
- The maximum number of points possible in a Tour is 180 (6 wins).
- The maximum number of points possible in a series is 90 (3 wins).
- This format keeps the competition very open and allows both occasional and frequent players an equal chance of winning.
- All paid Future Golf members automatically receive entry into the series cups.
- The Future Golf Team working on events will only be eligible for points and prizes when they’ve personally contributed to their entry for that event. Therefore, for the events they do this for, they are eligible to accrue tour points and win overall prizes. When they haven't paid, their points will be removed from the leaderboard and not allocated to anyone.
- Event Countback: (Golf Australia countback)
- Best total score for the last 9 holes (10-18 on the card), then
- Best total score for the last 6 holes (13-18 on the card), then
- Best total score for the last 3 holes (16-18 on the card), then
- Best total score for the last hole (18 on the card), finally
- Hole by hole going backward from the 18th (18,17,16… on the card).
This is based on the scoring form of that competition (eg. stableford, stroke etc)
- Only players with current and valid official handicaps at the time of an event are eligible to receive Future Golf Tour points.
- Points, placings, eligibility, scores, and membership are at the discretion of Future Golf Management. Booking and competition entry fees is included in the event price.
- Series Countback:
- Most Wins, then,
- Most Runners-Up, then,
- Total of Best 4 rounds in points, then
- Total of Best 5 rounds in points...until we have a winner.
Regular Events:
- Every event will have prizes thanks to Drummond Golf & Taylormade
- Under 30 players = No grades - Drummond Voucher 1st & 2nd ($125)
- Over 30 players = 2 Grades with - Drummond Voucher 1st & 2nd in each grade ($250)
- Over 60 players = 3 Grades with 1st & 2nd in each grade ($375)
- Grade winner $75 & runner up $50
- Novelty prizes provided by TaylorMade Golf - Sleeve of Balls
- Pro Pin winner takes all ($5 entry)
- Above is at a minimum - More prizes and inclusions for special events.
